Gardening isn't all about weeding.

This week we have been turning our compost bin.

This is some of the broccoli we planted. Unfortunately it has seeded a bit but the guinea pigs will enjoy it I'm sure.

Visitors to Room 5

Wow! we have had a busy day today. Emily bought in her two pet bunnies to spend the day with us. They are sooo cute. Everyone wanted to hold them and most people did. Thanks to Emily's mum for arranging it.

Tiri Tiri Matangi artwork now in place

This project has taken a long time. It started in 2011, after our great trip to Tiri Tiri Matangi. The then Year 4's of Mrs Bellehewe's class decided to create some artwork to remind them of their visit. The children used the knowledge they had gained from the trip and came up with pictures of their favourite birds on Tiri.
2012 came so fast and the Room 5 pupils who remembered going to Tiri  decided to finish off the work.
The end result can be seen in the gardens by the swimming pool.

A big thankyou to Mr Christopher for placing and cementing them for us!!

Gardening at Sunnynook

With spring in the air, Sunnynook Garden Club is in full swing. Children have been planting sunflower seeds collected last season from Hannah's huge sunflower. They are waiting for them to be seedlings and then they'll be replanted into plug pots.

Anyone can come to the garden club, the only thing you need is a change of shoes!
See you there. Mrs Bellehewe

ARRAY'S HOORAY!!!
