Well, we survived!!
It was SUCH a great night.
The children were brilliant and really enjoyed themselves and so did I!!
I thought the Skype with the Sarah Prineas was the high-light for me. I am still amazed that we are able to speak to an author of the book we have been reading when she lives in Iowa, USA??? What will technology allow us to do by next year I wonder?
The Wizard Quiz was a hit and I was SOOOOO proud that Room 5 won. They are a very special class!!
Just a big Thank-you to all the ladies who helped in the kitchen - we couldn't have done it without you. You were fabulous.
Also another big 'Thanks' to the parents who bravely came and stayed in the hall with 60 plus children for the night. An experience they will never forget I'm sure. Just as the children will consider this, as one of their most special Primary school memories.

ReplyDeleteWow - you guys are all so lucky! I heard afterwards about the delicious hamburgers and hot chocolate. I also heard that the author stayed up late so that she could chat to you all from the other side of the world. I'm sure you all have happy memories that will stay with you. I think we all need to say a big thank you to Mrs B and all the organizers!
